ENVA 140 - Environment and Society
An introduction to the social aspects of environmental problems and solutions. It examines the ways in which social institutions and lifestyles lead to environmental deterioration. It also looks at the consequences of en- vironmental decay for human health and well-being. It examines efforts to preserve the natural environment through the Environmental Movement, drives to save particular eco- systems, and changes in thinking about environmental issues. (Same as SOCI-160.) (ATTR: ARTS)
